In this release, we added partial support for BugSnag and status monitoring to improve platform performance. We introduce the idle status to the MOTAR Chat to better inform our chat users when other chat users are present and away. Finally, MOTAR Training Sandbox was updated to only show Sandbox supported course module asset types.

Our latest release includes new password criteria to enhance security. The new standards will enforce password complexity, ensuring your passwords are strong and secure.

The application must prohibit password reuse for a minimum of five generations.
The application must enforce a minimum 15-character password length.
The application must enforce password complexity by requiring that at least one upper-case character be used.
The application must enforce password complexity by requiring that at least one lower-case character be used.
The application must enforce password complexity by requiring that at least one numeric character be used.
The application must enforce password complexity by requiring that at least one special character be used.
The application must enforce 24 hours/1 day as the minimum password lifetime.

New in this release: Unit Training Managers (UTM) can add additional instructions as they create new training requirements to inform their students better.
Additionally, we updated the Specifically Negotiated License Rights data right description for clarity.
Finally, we also added many *NEW* support for MOTAR-In-A-Box (MIAB):
Added an option for an instructor to create a new version of the same course from any previous versions. This allows an instructor to update their courses and keep them up to date quickly.
Updated the TopNav UI and MOTAR Admin dashboard to display the following status while running in a box:

Added an option for the administrator to use the MOTAR 3D app's instructions from the MOTAR Admin dashboard. This would allow third-party apps without installation instructions to use the one provided by the MOTAR 3D app.
Non-MIAB compatible Instructor tool will not be launchable on the instructor dashboard while running in a box so that the instructor doesn't launch an application that isn't compatible.
Added an intuitive banner that would inform the instructor if the instructor tool added to the course is compatible with MIAB or not.
The box name will not show when it is not synched.

Here is a summary of recent minor enhancements and bug fixes for each service:
Improved functional org membership search results by removing irrelevant information.

Added support for capitalized file extensions in MOTAR Studio.
Fixed how the permission should be displayed on mobile devices. Now, when the user clicks on the Hub card, the tooltip will display permissions associated with the content. Clicking on the key icon will display a modal with the permissions table.
P1.5.3-2023-09-29
New in this release: Creators can now list an App as a type called "Standalone" in MOTAR Studio that can be approved for promotion to MOTAR Live production. Standalone apps (*.exe) can be downloaded and installed locally.
Additionally, Instructors can now stay informed by receiving alerts when students lack the necessary permissions to access course content, ensuring a seamless learning experience.
Finally, we also added additional support for MOTAR-In-A-Box (MIAB):
Initial support for course sync status on the cloud. In the first iteration, we will support 'not synced' by default.
Platform Admin can annotate MIAB incompatible Instructor Tools from MOTAR Admin.
Initial support for MIAB compatibility for Instructor Tools in courses. In the first iteration, the MIAB compatibility modal displays regardless of compatibility.
MIAB has now implemented an internal messaging service solution, but it will be disabled in the first iteration.

Seamless Support for MOTAR-in-a-Box (MIAB)
Update the Addon server to allow MinIO endpoint connection instead of AWS S3 as an initial step towards cloud-agnostic architecture.
Added the ‘expiration date’ field to the 'Add New MIAB' modal for previsioning new boxes, MOTAR Admin will have greater control and can set expiration dates with ease.
Updated the 'read platform' config route when running in MIAB to find and return BoxConfiguration model if one exists with a uniqueId that matches the GUID found in the environment configuration for ease of configuration management.
Platform Admin can annotate incompatible MIAB Apps from MOTAR Admin.
In MOTAR Training, we've added initial support for handling incompatible MIAB Apps and Courses. Course Managers can address compatibility challenges with confidence.
Stay Connected Through Notifications
