How to Manage Course Versions

As an instructor, you have the option to control course versioning. This feature allows you to create new versions of your course to support a curriculum change / new class or lesson structure.

As an Instructor, you cannot make edits to lesson modules on versions that have associated student data from completed modules. The Instructor will need to make a new version of the course to make edits or remove modules.

Creating a New Version

To create a new version, CLICK the + button found on the right of the course details page. This will show a modal where the instructor will select which version of the course they would like to start from. Next, the instructor can INPUT the version title and then CLICK the START NEW VERSION button.

"original" will show up in parenthesis next to the original course version in the dropdown.

The new version is based on the original copy of the course, this will allow the user to build off the existing course structure.
