How to Launch Apps
Immersive Apps (XR)
WARNING : Before launching an app on a Meta Quest device, ensure you have your Guardian activated and set to RoomScale. Due to Meta update v74, inactive Guardians and Stationary guardians may prevent apps from launching properly.
There are two ways to launch immersives apps hosted on MOTAR:
MOTAR 3D
Requirements:
If you organization is using Meta Quest for Business, you will need to contact your app administrator for information on which apps are installed on your device.
To launch an immersive application using MOTAR 3D
Launch MOTAR 3D (see Installing and Using MOTAR 3D)
Find the app you would like to launch
Click 'Launch' on the app details page.
Hub on the Web
You can also launch an app directly from MOTAR Hub.
Navigate to Hub
Locate the app you would like to launch
Click 'Launch with MOTAR 3D'
Click 'Continue on Headset'
Devices page will open
The devices page now has information about the app you want to launch. Do not navigate away from this page or your app may not launch properly!
Put on your headset
Launch MOTAR 3D
To launch an app directly, you will need to re-enter the domain and get a new sync code.
Do not use your PIN when launching an app from web.
Grab the sync code from the MOTAR 3D sync screen.
Enter the MOTAR 3D sync code into the Devices page on web.
Click 'Sync Device'
Put your headset back on and enjoy the app!
If the application requirements have been met, your app will launch after entering the sync code. Otherwise, you will be brought to the MOTAR 3D main screen.
